2005 DeSoto Heritage Festival Grand Parade.

 Dick Lobo, Chairman of the Board of WEDU television, presents a check for $1,000 to Katie
Powers, RN, representing MOMM's Place. The 2005 Speaking of Women's Health conference
was held at the Ritz-Carlton and sponsored by Manatee Memorial Hospital and Lakewood
Ranch Medical Center.

Women's Action Committee
Members of the Women's Action Committee of Manatee Memorial Hospital work on one of
their community projects, Vial of Life, at a recent meeting. Vials contain medical information
that is vital in an emergency situation, such as living wills, do not resuscitate orders and
designation of healthcare surrogate forms. Vial of Life packets are provided free to anyone in
